Those are things you plan to do that make you feel better about yourself. It differs from person to person, but includes, exercise, hobbies, family time, religious activities, volunteer work, helping others, and many other things. They have to make you feel better about yourself. You should plan to spend 25% of your total job search time each week in “Self-Care.” So if you’re planning 40 hours a week, then 10 have to be in “Self-Care.” This does not include negative things like addictive behaviors, or spending. We’ve found that this helps moderate the lows that hit everyone in job search. In some cases, professional help is needed, and you shouldn’t be too proud to get it.
